....Avevo deciso di non navigare più e che mi sarebbe piaciuto vivere "una vita a terra"  

Logicamente prima degli hobby, dovevo trovarmi un lavoro che mi consentisse una stabile situazione economica per vivere senza patemi, come infatti:

Il 20 Novembre 1980 fui Assunto

il 25 Novembre presi Servizio presso un Ente Pubblico.  

Precedentemente, conobbi un Politico durante una trasmissione di Politica che facevo in Radio;  

visto che eravamo in Campagna Elettorale, 

gli dissi che ero orfano di guerra, "Categoria Protetta" nelle liste di Collocamento

e gli chiesi se poteva orientarmi per un lavoro statale, visto che la legge lo consentiva.

Mi rispose che era in atto una Legge Pro-Orfani di Guerra 

(premetto che io sono nato 7 mesi dopo la morte di mio Padre, morto in Guerra)

e quindi si sarebbe interessato.  

Finita la trasmissione lui mi ringraziò io lo ringraziai .... dopo nemmeno 3 mesi

Logically I had to find a job that allowed a stable economic situation to me to live without patemi to me before the hobbies, as in fact:

 November 20 th 1980 I was Assumed  on November 25 taken Service near a Public Corporate body. 

 Previously I knew a Political during a transmission of Politics that I did Radio; 

considering that we were in the Country politic, I told him that I was orphan of war, Protected Category in the lists of Collocamento 

and I asked to him if you/he/she can direct me for a government job, considering that the law allowed it. 

She/he answered to me that it was in action a Law For-orphans of War 

(I premise that I was born 7 months after the death of my Father, dead in War).

and therefore you/he/she would have taken an interest.

Ended the transmission he thanked me I thanked it.... after not even 3 months

dovevo prendere servizio il lunedì mattina del 24 Novembre del 1980.  La sera precedente, il 23 Domenica ci fu il  Terremoto

in Campania,

soprattutto nella Provincia di  Avellino.

Picentini e dal massiccio del Partenio che le fa da corona.

Notizie storiche:

Avellino affonda le origini nell’antica Abellinum, ubicata nella zona della vicina Atripalda. Conquistata dai Romani durante le guerre sannitiche, fu elevata da Silla nell’82 a.C. a “Colonia   Veneria Abellinatium” ed assegnata ai suoi veterani.

Conobbe la persecuzione dei cristiani testimoniata, in particolare, dai martiri S.Ippolisto e S.Modestino. Nel IV secolo divenne sede vescovile. Fu un florido centro agricolo e commerciale fino alla caduta dell’impero romano. Distrutta dai Goti di Totila, subì il dominio dei Longobardi (571 d.C.) e fece parte del ducato di Benevento.

Presumibilmente, nello stesso periodo, il centro abitato venne spostato ove sorge l’odierna città.

Fu conquistata dai Bizantini ed ancora dai Normanni sotto i quali si trovò al centro della lotta tra il conte Rainulfo ed il cognato Ruggiero per la successione al ducato di Puglia. L’anti-papa Anacleto (1130) proprio ad Avellino concesse a Ruggiero l’investitura del Regno di Sicilia e del Ducato di Puglia e sempre ad Avellino il papa Innocenzo II e l’imperatore Lotario concessero, a loro volta, l’investitura a Rainulfo. Divenne dominio degli Svevi, mentre gli Angioini la concessero in feudo alla famiglia Del Balzo che la tenne fino al 1381.

Appartenne successivamente, al casato dei Filangieri e subì, nel 1440, assedio e devastazione da parte di Alfonso D’Aragona. Nella prima metà del 500 fu feudo della contessa Maria De Cardona, dama di elevata cultura che avviò il rinnovamento cittadino.

Marino Caracciolo, valoroso cavaliere distintosi a Lepanto, nel 1581 acquistò il feudo ed assunse il titolo di Principe di Avellino. Il lungo dominio dei Caracciolo, protrattosi fino al 1806, fu per la città un’epoca di incremento demografico, espansione urbanistica e progresso economico. Notevole, infatti, fu l’apporto dei principi Caracciolo all’abbellimento artistico di Avellino in cui ebbe parte principale, a metà del 600, l’architetto bergamasco Cosimo Fanzago.

Nel 1806 divenne capoluogo di provincia di Principato Ultra in sostituzione di Montefusco. Nel 1820 fu al centro del moto rivoluzionario che costrinse Ferdinando di Borbone a concedere la costituzione, prendendo parte attiva al movimento risorgimentale. Con l’Unità d’Italia la città decadde, specie dal punto di vista economico.

A partire dagli anni 50 Avellino ha avuto un graduale, costante sviluppo edilizio. Negli ultimi tempi sono sorti nuovi quartieri, piazze e spazi residenziali per cui la città si proietta nel futuro come centro  di servizi e di importanti attività economiche e di vitali collegamenti con il sud d’Italia.
